What happened to my chili cheese fries!? I've been wanting to write this for a while now. The cheese has changed. For what reason? Only the chili cheese fries gods know. The fries changed too. They're thinner. Look, I've been coming here since 1990 (I was 10 years old). I kept coming all these years because the chili cheese fries were ALWAYS made the same and with good reason. Why change the greatest chili cheese fries on earth? Makes no sense. Well they did. It's been a few years now. The reason I keep coming back is the chili. It all boils down to the chili. It's so delicious. Thank god they haven't changed the recipe. I don't always get the chili cheese fries now a days, I'll order a chili cheese bowl (no onions). But I still yearn for those days where the chili cheese fries had thick ass fries and the cheese was just as thick and the chili portions were generous. Now a days you're lucky if you see chili at the bottom of the container when you eat all the fries. I will always come here. It's the taste of my childhood in Highland Park. See for yourself behold the chili cheese fries as they used to look (2013 pic I think).
BRING THEM BACK TO THE WAY THEY WERE I BEG YOU. -

I've only had breakfast here and it's decent. Inexpensive. They way they have the place setup, it is difficult to see the breakfast menu (which is frustrating). I like the breakfast burritos. Today I got 2 eggs with pancakes and I asked if the pancakes could be well done (well they weren't).
People at the counter are nice and prompt. My only complaints are there are loud customers there who seem to enjoy shouting and some "homeless" looking people who hang out there. Also I asked for more ice and a little more unsweetened ice tea (it was half full) and the woman said they charge for refills. Really? -

Really good fries! I love their bacon burger, it truly is cypress bests! Would recommend it to everyone. Not a fan of their horchata or their orange juice but as far as food goes, 5/5

I was in the area and looking for Burger place. I saw Cypress Best Burgers and looked them up on Yelp decided to give them a try. They are located on Figueroa Ave (Highland Park) and they have parking in the back. In my opinion, the parking is small and parking could be an issue, so plan ahead. I get there and noticed the decor inside for Route 66, which was really cool. I saw their menu and ordered 1/4lb Cheeseburger w/small fries. I waited for a bit and then my order was ready. I could smell the burger patty coming off the grill and it was prepared fresh and it had flavor. My burger had a lot of lettuce, which I didn't mind and it was healthy so to speak LOL. My order of fries were delicious and it had a crunch to them. They are very convenient to Dodger Stadium and it would be perfect to have a meal before or after the game. My overall experience was great and my food was delicious. I would recommend Cypress Best Burgers if you're in the area of Highland Park or if you're in the mood for a Burger.

Food is awesome!!! Always fresh, fast, and best chili cheese fries around!!! Customer service not good tho. Cashiers always have attitude. Today I had to wait pointlessly wait in line for the cashier to finish her conversation with the person in front of me. I'm not a hater, but then again that was 15 minutes of my lunch time down the drain.
